A neutral stable and soluble polymer radical with low band gap and its photovoltaic application

摘要
The first neutral stable polyradical with π conjugated phenylalenyl radical unit is synthesized, because of their intrinsic electrical and magnetic properties, stable neutral organic and polymer radical materials have been sought for many prospective plastic device applications. These applications include electronic, optoelectronic, magnetoelectronic devices and integrated systems with multifunctionality. This polyradical has a low band-gap value of 1.59 eV and its application for photovoltaic devices has been studied, this polyradical exhibits a good solubility in common organic solvents and stability in air. The conjugation between the side chain of 1,3-diazaphenalenyl unit and poly(p-diethynylbenzene)s backbone causes a substantial lowering of the band gap relative to other poly(p-diethynylbenzene)s.
