摘要
This paper presents a simple and efficient model for optimizing the location of FACTS devices used for congestion management by controlling the device parameters. Congestion management using FACTS devices requires a two-step approach. First, the optimal location of the devices in the network must be ascertained and then, the settings of the control parameters optimized. The effectiveness of the proposed methods is demonstrated using a 5-bus system. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
