摘要
In natural seawater the free corrosion potentials of stainless steels increases depending on the presence of oxygen and microorganisms. One of the mechanisms to explain this phenomenon could be the production of microbial enzymes able to catalyse oxygen reduction in the biofilm. This hypothesis has been tested by adding a microbial enzyme, glucose oxidase, to sterile seawater. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
