摘要
A novel set of normalized coupled nonlinear differential equations drawn after Von der Linde et al. is used to describe stimulated Raman scattering in optical fibers. The numerical solutions of the differential system lead in a natural way to the calculation of the ratio between Stokes and pump powers at the output end of the fiber. The mode) is exploited to deduce the optimum performances of a 1.064-mu m pumped third-order cascaded Raman laser operating at the wavelength of 1.24 mu m in cw regime of operation, whose output should be useful in pumping a 1.31-mu m fiber amplifier.
