摘要
The results of research into a biochemical marker for depression are presented. The research was carried out on a normal population in a primary care setting. Cholesterol levels were identified as the blood marker for anxiety and depression. The Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression was chosen to identify depression. Those with low cholesterol scored significantly higher on the Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ireland Ltd. All rights reserved.
