Effect of radiation-induced oxygen disorder on the superconducting transition temperature in YBa2Cu3O7 superconductors

摘要
It is shown that the oxygen displacement from the CuO2 planes in YBa2Cu3O7 results in a significant depletion of the hole density and the local disruption of the electronic integrity around the Cu(2) sites. These additional mechanisms need to be considered along with the usual pair breaking theory for a proper understanding of the degradation of T-c under electron irradiation.
