摘要
Cationic exchange measurements, in calcium clay in contact with Me2+(NO3)(2) solutions at ionic strength maintained constant by adding Ca(NO3)(2), are difficult to establish when the exchanged cations released in solution are measured by application of the concentrations difference method. XPS analysis of the cations retained by the clay allows the removal of this analytical difficulty. This is illustrated by the example of Ca-Cd and Ca-Pb exchanges on a Ca-montmorillonite.
