Testing the equality of two alpha coefficients

This paper reviews and illustrates statistical tests of the equality oi two values of Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient. Tests for independent and dependent coefficient were considered. Possible pitfalls in determining the critical value for these tests or in computing the p value associated with the tests' outcome are discussed.
