摘要
This paper reports on the comparison of ratings and control flexibility of three major FACTS devices. The locations of UPFC installation is determined by 'contingency analysis.' After power flow modelling of SVC, PS, and UPFC is introduced, a new power flow control method for UPFC is described. Four practical indices are used to evaluate the behavior of power systems. The test results on a test network clearly illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
