Changes in left ventricular inflow and pulmonary venous flow velocities during preload alteration in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy

摘要
Hemodynamic changes during lower body negative and positive pressure were investigated in 42 patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy using left ventricular (LV) inflow and pulmonary venous flow velocities. A goal was to clarify the mechanism of pulmonary congestion due to LV diastolic dysfunction. These flow velocities in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and marked elevation of LV end-diastolic pressure indicate facilitation of pulmonary congestion during increase in preload.
