摘要：

The discrete particle simulation, which has been investigated intensively in Japan, are reviewed in this article, also providing information on who and what organizations are involved. Finally, recent papers published by Japanese researchers related to powder technology are surveyed according to the classifications: (1) collision-free flow (dilute phase flow), (2) collision-dominated flow (medium concentration flow) and (3) contact-dominated flow (dense phase flow).
