Macromolecular nanoplatelets of the ferroelectric oxide Bi4Ti3O12 were synthesized by exfoliation reaction for the first time. Formation of the exfoliated nanoplatelets was confirmed by atomic force microscopy (A-FM) and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM).
