Fabrication of rare-earth biphthalocyanine encapsulated by carbon nanotubes using a capillary filling method

摘要
Erbium biphthalocyanine (HErPc2) nanorods or nanowires were encapsulated in the cavities of MWCNTs simply by the capillary filling method. The length and the diameter of the nanowires can be easily tailored by the MWCNTs mold, capillary filling time, and the concentration of HErPc 2. When the optical, electronic, and magnetic properties of HErPc2 and MWCNT are combined, the 1-D hybrid material is expected to have versatile potential applications in nanodevices, such as in NIR photodetectors.
