In the decade since the first DNA analyses with microfabricated glass chips were reported, significant advances in sample throughput and integration have poised microfluidics to provide substantial benefit to DNA analysis. Ryan T. Kelly and Adam T. Woolley at Brigham Young University discuss recent developments in systems made with planar microfabrication technology. © 2005 American Chemical Society.
