Production of phenocopies of the lanceolate mutant in tomato using polar auxin transport inhibitors

摘要
Germinating seeds and regenerating shoot apical meristems of tomato exposed to the polar auxin transport inhibitors NPA and HFCA converted normal indeterminate growth of the shoot to that of a determinate pattern. The inhibitors produced linear, tendril-like shoots which phenocopied several forms of the homozygous lanceolate mutant in tomato.
