Relationship between resistivity and specific heat in heavy electron systems

The ratio of the coefficient A of the T-2-term of the electrical resistivity and the coefficient gamma of the T-linear term of the specific heat in heavy electron systems is discussed on the basis of the spin fluctuation theory developed recently. The value for A/gamma(2) in the absence of the antiferromagnetic correlation is shown to be quite insensitive to the energy spread of the spin fluctuation and the estimated value is close to the empirical universal value given by Kadowaki and Woods. The influence of the antiferromagnetic correlation on this ratio is shown to be generally weak except for the close vicinity of the antiferromagnetic instability.
