摘要
The homogenization of boundary conditions on surfaces randomly covered by patches of different sizes and shapes was analyzed. The absorbing disks of two different radii, a=0.05R and a=0.025R, were randomly located on the surface of the sphere, and the particles were initiated uniformly over the surface. The trapping rates were computed for α=0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, and 0.5 and v=0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, and 1. It was found that there was excellent agreement between the trapping rates predicted by the formula and found from simulations with identical traps at α=0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, and 0.5.
