摘要
Exact time-dependent formulations to extract scattering information from correlation functions are applied to the problem of inelastic resonant tunneling of electrons. Alternative approaches are used for state to state probabilities [J. Chem. Phys. 98 (1993) 3884] and state selected total tunneling probabilities [J. Chem. Phys. 109 (1998) 3028]. These are implemented by using two-dimensional wave functions describing an electronic degree of freedom coupled to a vibrational one. The second formalism is advantageous if final state resolution is not necessary. The observed inelastic side bands in the transmission probability correspond to changes in the features of the related time signals. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
