Langmuir-Schaefer (LS) films of poly(ortho-anisidine) (POAS) were fabricated by utilizing water and Water acidified HO as subphases, respectively. The uniformity of the films formation and the doping with Nation were verified by UV-Vis spectroscopy. The morphology and the thickness of the POAS, HO post-doping POAS and Nafion post-doping POAS LS films were investigated using atomic force microscopy. The electrochemical properties of POAS LS films, HO post-doping POAS and Nafion post-doping POAS were investigated and compared with our previously published work. The electrochemical switching time of HO post-doping POAS and Nation post-doping POAS LS films were also estimated. (C) 2003 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
