A convenient synthetic route to hybrid cyclopentadienyl-phosphine complexes is demonstrated by the high yield synthesis of the complex [RhCl{eta (5),eta (1),eta (1)-C5Me4CH2C6F4P-(C6F5)C6H4SMe}][BF4].
