Molecular and supramolecular architectures of silver(I) and copper(I) complexes of 2,6-pyridinediylbis(2-pyridinyl)methanone

摘要
Four silver(l) and copper(l) complexes derived from the ligand 2,6-pyridinediylbis(2-pyridinyl)methanone (L) have been synthesized and their structures determined by X-ray diffraction. Different anion coordinating abilities lead to two kinds of infinite chains in [{Ag(L)}(ClO4)](infinity) (1) and [{Ag(L)(NO3)}(CH3CN)-C-.](infinity) (2), in which ligand L exhibits different coordinating modes. In the isomorphous complexes [Cu(HL')](2)(BF4)(2)(.)2H(2)O (3) and [Cu(HL')](2)(ClO4)(2)(.)2H(2)O (4), L undergoes methanolysis at only one carbonyl group to form the monoketal HL', while the other one remains intact.
