摘要
In order to determine the mode of action and the effectiveness of various inhibitors studied on reducing carbon steel corrosion in natural geothermal waters, we carried out a series of successive tests using stationary and transitory electrochemical techniques. These tests monitored electrochemically in "short term test's" the response of carbon steel electrodes. For a perfect comparison of the efficiency of inhibitors, the tests were synchronized. This series of tests provides more precise information on how inhibitors work and their adsorption rate, and enables us to assess the risk of pitting in the presence of each inhibitor, The results are in good agreement with those obtained in the same conditions using "long term test's"[1] and weight loss technique.
