110 channels x 2.35 Gb/s from a single femtosecond laser

摘要
We demonstrate the feasibility of a wavelength-division-multiplexed transmitter using a single femtosecond laser and generating 110 channels at 2.35 Gb/s, Chirped-pulse wavelength-division multiplexing is used to carve channels spaced by about 0.3 nm out of the broad spectrum of the laser, A 64-fold increase in bit rate per channel is accomplished through optical time-division multiplexing.
