摘要
The introduction of some new devices for haemostasis has dramatically changed laparoscopic abdominal surgery. In particular, the laparosonic coagulating shears (LCS) are revolutionary tools which can be used to achieve reliable haemostasis with a low risk of tissue injury. In this review, monopolar electro-devices, bipolar devices, laser coagulation and LCS are briefly introduced. Clinical experience using LCS in gastric surgery and the future possibilities of these devices are also discussed.
