Comparative study on the synthesis of γ-Fe2O3 and Fe3O4 nanocrystals using high-temperature solution-phase technique

摘要
The possibility of obtaining dispersable Fe3O4 nanocrystals by thermal decomposition of FE(III) cupferron complex in hot coordinating solvent was demonstrated. Results obtained with TEM, XRD and VSM measurements indicate that the structural and magnetic properties of the iron oxide nanocrystals are strongly influenced by the preparative conditions employed in the synthetic procedures.
