摘要
Wyodak coal char, phenol-formaldehyde resin char and graphite were used to study the gasification kinetics of carbons in CO2 atmosphere. The gasification of C in CO2 are characterized by two distinct kinetic regimes under low CO2 partial pressure conditions. The rate in the low temperature regime is presumed to be dominated by oxide desorption, as it is in the case of analogous behavior in NO gasification. The high temperature regime is thought to be dominated by processes which are chemisorption controlled. This is supported by the strong influence that catalytic material has on shifting the transition temperature to lower temperatures.
