Heteronuclear molybdenum and nickel derivatives of the 16-electron half-sandwich complex Cp'Rh[E2C2(B10H10)] (E = S, Se)

摘要：

Two prototypes of hetero-trinuclear complexes containing metal-metal bondings {Cp'Rh-[mu-E2C2(B10H10)]}(2)Mo(U-CO)2 (Cp' = eta(5)-1,3-(Bu2C5H3)-Bu-t, E = S(2a), Se(2b)), {Cp'Rh[mu-E2C2-(B10H10)]}(2)Ni (E = S (4a), Se (4b)) were obtained from the reactions of 16-electron complexes Cp'Rh[E2C2(B10H10)] (E = S (1a), Se (1b)) with low-valence transition metal complexes, such as [MO(CO)(3)(NC5H5)(3)] and Ni(COD)(2), respectively. The molecular structures of Cp'Rh[Se2C2=(B10H10)] (1b), (Cp'Rh)(2)[S2C2(B10H10)] (3a), {Cp'Rh[mu-E2C2(B10H10)]}(2)Mo(mu-CO)(2)] (E = S (2a), Se (2b)), and Cp'Rh[mu-E2C2(B10H10)]}(2)Ni (E = S (4a), Se (4b)) have been determined by X-ray crystallography. All these complexes were characterized by elemental analysis and IR and NMR spectra.
