Criticisms of the "correction factor" verification method

The present criticisms and those given earlier by Oberkampf, even if taken at face value, should not detract from the many valuable aspects of the papers. These include candid presentation of many numerical details for a real and difficult engineering problem which are often glossed over in similar papers, including isssues of maintaining a near-constant grid refinement ratio with nonorthogonal boundary-fitted grids. Moreover, it includes the consideration of the interaction of iterative convergence criteria withthe grid convergence study.
