摘要
Performance prediction for time difference of arrival (TDOA) systems that rely on standard covariance methods exhibit poor correlation with simulated results. A superior metric [TDOA dilution of precision (DOP)] is derived. DOP is familiar to global positioning system (GPS) users and, although the equations governing TDOA DOP are quite different, application of the concept is identical.
