Comparison of three granular support materials for anaerobic fluidized bed systems

摘要
Three different materials, kaolin, pozzolana and biolite (a material used in a commercial anaerobic fluidized bed treatment process) when tested as supports for an anaerobic fluidized bed system had similar physical and fluidization properties but behaved differently towards the biomass hold-up. However, all three systems attained similar removal efficiency rates.
