Preparation and optical absorption property of poly(acrylic acid)/copper sulfide nanocomposite films

摘要
Composite films of poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) and copper sulphide (CuxS) were prepared and their application as solar control material was discussed. The composite film exhibited strong absorption in ultraviolet (UV) and near-infrared regions and was transparent to the human eye in the daylight. PAA-CuS film was found to be useful and effective as a blocking filter of UV and near-infrared rays in sunlight. The dispersion state of CuS was observed by transmission electron microscopy.
