Strong interplay between magnetism and superconductivity in a heavy-fermion superconductor UPd2Al3

摘要
Strong interplay between antiferromagnetism and superconductivity in a heavy-fermion superconductor UPd2Al3 is studied by neutron scattering. The (0 0 0.5) antiferromagnetic Bragg intensity exhibits 1% reduction below the superconducting transition temperature T-C. We found that the magnetic excitation gap of about 0.4 meV is associated with superconductivity. The spin-wave excitation shows an enhancement and anomalous decrease below T,. These results are indicative of the strong interplay between antiferromagnetism and superconductivity. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
