摘要:
The S-100 mu m/S-60 mu m color temperatures reported in Table 1 and depicted in Figs. 7, 8, and 9 were inadvertently calculated using a lambda(0) emissivity law rather than the h(-1) emissivity law cited. Revised figures and a table listing the correct temperatures are provided below. The revision has affected the magnitude of the dust temperatures but not the location of the maxima and minima depicted in Fig. 2. The revised temperatures are about 4 K lower than originally reported. The bulge of M81 is still the hottest location but not by as large a margin. Although small, the revision has decreased the distinction between the temperatures observed for M81 and the temperatures predicted for diffuse dust heated by the general interstellar radiation field as illustrated in Fig. 7. Additionally, a much smaller percentage (similar to 30%) of the far-infrared luminosity of M81 is radiated by dust with temperatures that are higher than the similar to 30 K expected for diffuse dust heated by the general interstellar radiation field as illustrated in Fig. 8. It is still true, however, that the L(FIR)/L(H alpha) ratios are consistent with the values determined for H II regions regardless of the dust temperatures as illustrated in Fig. 9. The authors would like to thank Bev Smith for bringing this matter to our attention.
