Compares various population genomics projects concerning the issue of citizen involvement. After proposing that discourse ethics offers an ethics of responsibility and a partnership approach for promoters and citizens, article evaluates current citizen involvement practices and finds them generally unsatisfactory. Discourse ethics is defined as a laudable goal in population genomics.
