摘要
In the NRSE technique the neutron spectroscopic role of the long Larmor precession solenoids is taken over by a zero-field region bounded by the windings of the DC coils of small RF flippers. This mechanical definition of the effective Larmor precession field-volume makes NRSE the method of choice for mu eV resolution study of elementary excitations where tilted precession fields are required. The first NRSE set-up of this kind is described together with the first experimental results. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
