Sol-gel route to perovskite-type Sr-substituted LaCoO3 thin films and effects of polyethylene glycol on microstructure evolution

摘要
A new type of the electrochemical cells that consists La0.8Sr0.2CoO3 (La-Sr-Co-O) thin film and yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) was proposed. A precursor solution for the thin film was prepared by sol-gel process, and the porous thin film was successfully prepared on the YSZ electrolyte by spin-coating technique. By adding polyethylene glycol to the precursor solution for the thin film, the microstructure can be controlled. It was found that NO decomposition activity strongly depended on its microstructure. The La-Sr-Co-O|YSZ|Pt electrochemical cell showed good NO decomposition activity at relatively low current and high current efficiency.
