摘要：

This paper describes the history and current technology behind composite manufacturing and the development of a precision feed endeffector (PFE). The HE is used on the end of a robot arm and performs many functions associated with the handling of prepreg and semipreg materials. The HE helps to achieve higher levels of accuracy and productivity for automated layup systems.
