Enhanced fluorescence from Eu3+-doped silica gels by adsorbed CdS nanoparticles

摘要
Cadmium sulfide (CdS) semiconductor colloids are used, for the first time, in assessing the optical properties of a lanthanide ion, europium. (Eu3+)-doped silica gels prepared by a sol-gel method. Adsorption and size-quantization of CdS nanoclusters enable a greater enhancement of fluorescence from the aforementioned gels. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
