Novel routes for the preparation of a range of germanium containing zeolites

摘要
Three aluminogermanate materials have been synthesized at temperatures below 100 degrees C and identified as analogues of RHO, GIS and NAT type zeolites. In addition, microwave heating has yielded phase-pure Ge-X after only 10 s, and Ge-RHO is the dominant product after several days reaction at ambient temperature. This demonstrates the relative ease of formation of aluminogermanate zeolites, provided a suitable starting stoichiometry is chosen.
