Charged native beta-cyclodextrin as a pseudostationary phase in electrokinetic chromatography

摘要
Native beta-cyclodextrin, deprotonated at its secondary hydroxyl groups has been studied as pseudostationary phase for electrokinetic chromatographic separation of highly hydrophobic compounds. Using this pseudostationary phase the separation of five polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) is shown. The influence of the main parameters (field strength, pH, concentration of cyclodextrin, urea and organic solvent) on the separation of PAHs and migration behaviour of beta-CD is discussed.
