摘要：

TEX-2 is one of the instruments at GKSS-Research Center scheduled for research use by visiting scientists. The instruments is optimized for texture measurements of different types of materials and operates more than 200 days a year. According to a high variability in pole figure measurements different software packages are available to calculate the orientation distribution function. About 20 projects can be measured every year. This includes long term projects with about 30 samples as well as short term projects.
