摘要
The pediatric curricula in Munich, Heidelberg, Freiburg and Berlin represent a broad spectrum ranging from a traditional ( Freiburg) to a reformed curriculum ( Reformed Medical Studies Program Berlin). Special conditions pre-existed in Munich (Munich-Harvard-Alliance) and Heidelberg (HeiCuMed). All curricula are based on explicit learning goals and objectives and incorporate specific teaching and examination formats as well as evaluated curriculum characteristics. The curriculum in Munich is problem based and organized within a framework of life cycle modules. Moreover, communication training and a child resuscitation course are offered. In Heidelberg students are offered elective modules in addition to a core curriculum. Strong emphasis is laid on the constructive alignment of learning objectives, teaching and examination formats. The personal attachment of small groups to an experienced medical tutor is one aspect highly appreciated by the students in Freiburg. The Reformed Medical Studies Program in Berlin can be used to set up a blueprint for a pediatric curriculum that meets the Bologna criteria, thus in line with the European higher education system.
