摘要
Cross-Linked Enzyme Crystals (CLEC(R)) offer a combination of features normally associated with either enzymes (high activity and selectivity, ability to function under mild reaction conditions, ease of disposal) or heterogeneous catalysts (stability in different environments, recycling). This combined set of properties makes CLEC catalysts extremely useful in organic synthesis. CLEC technology is broadly applicable to a wide variety of proteins, and may be useful in other areas, such as therapeutic-protein delivery, cosmetics and detergents, which can benefit from highly stable, active and pure proteins.
