摘要
A simple methodology is presented for the determination of inertial mass properties of odd shape bodies. The methodology is feasible and easy to implement. The error in the determination of the moments of inertia can be estimated with high accuracy and it was found to lay within the 1.5%. The paper presents the theoretical basis of a modified torsional pendulum, the experimental procedure and error estimation for measuring principal and products of moments of inertia of mechanical systems.
