摘要
The synthesis of catecholamines by immunocompetent cells has now been demonstrated. In addition, catecholamines have been discovered inside the nuclear membrane and may therefore interact in the transcription process. Here, Jonas Bergquist and colleagues describe the powerful impact that catecholamines exert on the immune system by downregulation of proliferation and differentiation, and induction of apoptosis.
