Mesoporous systems for the preparation of ordered magnetic nanowire arrays

摘要
The preparation of iron nanowires was carried out in mesoporous silica (100) films with all pores parallel to the surface and aligned in a certain direction. The synthesis allowed to achieve the formation of highly anisotropic nanostructures with ferromagnetic properties at room temperature. The transmission electron microphotograph of the film showed the presence of well-ordered anisotropic particles in the transparent matrix, while the electron diffraction studies confirmed the formation of metallic iron in the system. The results of the study indicate that the pore structure in the film preserves after the chemical modification and such films are expected to serve as test system for information storage.
