摘要：

Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) evaluation can yield important information in behavioral, pharmacologic, and toxic assessment of the nervous system. Recently identified neurotransmitters are available and quantifiable in CSF: CSF collection in macaques is easy to perform and extremely safe for the monkeys. This paper outlines a simple, harmless, and reliable method to collect CSF from the atlanto-occipital cistern of macaques.
