Segmental dynamics of bulk polymers studied by fluorescence correlation spectroscopy

摘要
The segmental dynamics of amorphous bulk polymers was investigated by fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS) at temperatures above the glass transition. The segmental relaxation time was obtained both from dielectric loss measured by dielectric spectroscopy due to the dipole moment of the polymer. It was found that the translation diffusion coefficient of the fluorescent molecular tracer correlated with the segmental relaxation time of the polymer matrix. The assignment of the observed dynamics to the segmental motion associated with the primary α-relaxation opens applications of FCS in polymer physics.
