摘要：

Despite the high success rate of laser in situ keratomileusis, the technique is not free of complications. The formation of striae and folds in the corneal flap is more common than desirable and sometimes results in a significant loss of best corrected visual acuity. When this occurs, early treatment is highly recommended. We describe the differences between folds and striae and their treatment according to their pattern of development.
