摘要
Highly spatially-resolved low-temperature photoluminescence imaging experiments are presented on lateral arrays of selforganized GaAs quantum wires as well as on thick GaN heteroepitaxial layers. Wavelength fluctuations along single quantum wires as well as from wire to wire are imaged. Carrier transfer- and capture processes into the quantum wires are investigated. The measurements on thick GaN layers reveal that the luminescence properties strongly depend on the distance to the substrate interface.
